D2football.com -- Saginaw Valley State University sophomore  kicker Connor Luksic has been named the D2football.com Special Teams Player of the Week for Week #3 of the 2019 season.

Luksic, who was also named the GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week, had a stellar performance in the Cardinals' 23-7 home victory over Michigan Tech this past weekend. He connected on field goals of 47, 43 and 26 yards and had five punts for a 44.8 yard average. All five of his punts resulted in Michigan Tech having field position inside the 15 yard line and three were inside the 10. 

SVSU takes its 3-0 record on the road as the No. 25 team in the nation, traveling to play at Wayne State on Saturday (Sep. 28) evening. Kickoff will be at 6:00 p.m. against the Warriors. Wayne State is 1-2 overall on the season and is coming off a 33-7 win at Quincy on Saturday.
