Wayne State (29-12, 19-6 GLIAC) jumped out to a 2-0 lead after posting runs in both the second and third innings.

Saginaw Valley (11-20, 9-12 GLIAC) responded in the bottom of the fourth inning with three runs to take a 3-2 advantage after a big 2-out rally gave the Cardinals momentum.

Chris Perkovich (Canton, Mich.) put SVSU on the board with a single down the left field line to plate Andy Orr (Utica, Mich.). Three batters later, Michael Craig (Milan, Mich.) connected on the first pitch to left field for a 2-RBI single. Ryan Hotmer (Walbridge, Ohio / Lake) and Perkovich came around to score giving SVSU the 3-2 edge.

However, the Warrior offense came alive in the fifth and six inning to come away with the 6-3 victory.

Michael Craig paced the Cardinal offense with a pair of hits.

Game Two - Wayne State 5, SVSU 3 - Box Score
