SVSU Cardinal Senior Spotlight - Reagan Moffit

SVSU Cardinal Senior Spotlight - Reagan Moffit

Saginaw Valley State University Athletics will be releasing a series of student-athlete spotlights, which will feature some of our Cardinal senior student-athletes from the 2019-20 academic year. Stay tuned to www.svsucardinals.com to get to know our SVSU seniors a bit more.

Next up in our series is Volleyball student-athlete Reagan Moffit. Reagan is a native of Roscommon, Michigan and has been a member of the team for the past five years. She competed in 54 career matches for the Cardinals, posting 176 kills, 38 digs and 41 blocks in her 139 sets. She was a member of three teams that advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament, with the Cards qualifying in the 2015, 2016 and 2019 campaigns.

Moffit's favorite spot on campus is the SVSU paved trail. She graduated in December 2019 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. She is currently a community nutrition instructor in Northern Michigan and plans to return to graduate school and begin an MPH in Epidemiology this upcoming fall. Moffit was named the Exercise Science Most Outstanding Graduate for December 2019 and was a four year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Reagan's favorite memories while competing for the Cardinals were the team's NCAA Tournament appearances, traveling to California for a tournament, Halloween practices and going to Texas for a S.A.A.C. conference. Her top road trips were when the team traveled to California and any of the U.P. road trips.

"I am so thankful to have spent five years at SVSU! Playing volleyball here opened up so many opportunities, both athletic and non-athletic, that I would not have experienced anywhere else!"

SVSU Volleyball Head Coach Will Stanton on Reagan Moffit...

"Reagan is the epitome of what we look for in a Cardinal Volleyball Player – hardworking, honest, forthright, driven, focused and team oriented! She made the most of her opportunities here at SVSU and raised the bar for her teammates every day. Her commitment to her academics and her future career is second to none, and we will miss having her in the gym."
