Timyah Meeks - Women's Track & Field

SVSU freshman thrower Timyah Meeks had a standout performance for the Cardinals as they hosted the SVSU Classic to open competition in the new year.

Meeks moved ahead of teammate Ali Aldrich who broke the school record in the weight throw to end 2019 competition. Meeks throw of 17.83-meters set a new school record, was a NCAA DII provisional qualifying mark, and places her 12th in the nation and 5th in the GLIAC.

Saginaw Valley competes next on Friday, January 17 as they host the Doug Hansen Open.
