CarLee Stimpfel - Cross Country

SVSU sophomore, CarLee Stimpfel, has been named the Cardinal Athlete of the week following his 22nd place finish at the NCAA DII National Cross Country Championships.

Stimpfel placed 22nd overall at the National Championships crossing the line with a final time of 30:19.0. His 22nd place finish earned him All-American honors for the second time in his career. With the completion of the cross country season Stimpfel looks to continue his success into the indoor track and field season.

Stimpfel and the rest of the Cardinal track and field program start the indoor track and field season at home as they open day one of the SVSU Holiday Open Friday (Dec. 6) with the women's pentathlon set to start at 12 pm and the men's heptathlon to follow at 12:15 pm.
