Alona Olshevska - Women's Track & Field

SVSU sprinter Alona Olshevska had standout performances for the Cardinals this past weekend as they hosted the Doug Hansen to open.

Olshevska placed third in the 400-meter with a final time of 57.16, just .63 seconds away from a NCAA DII provisional qualifying mark, and is currently the 3rd fastest time in the GLIAC. She was also the lead leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed first overall with a NCAA DII provisional qualifying time of 3:50.90 which is currently 9th in the nation and 2nd in the GLIAC. Olshevska also set a school record in the 60-meter dash earlier this season with a NCAA DII provisional qualifying time of 7.67 which sits her second in the GLIAC and 25th in the nation.

Saginaw Valley competes next on Friday, January 24 as they host day one of the Jet's Pizza Invitational.
