Ali Aldrich - Women's Track & Field

SVSU sophomore thrower Ali Aldrich had a standout performance for the Cardinals in the season-opening SVSU Holiday Open.

Aldrich collected a pair of NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks in the event, finishing first in the weight throw and second in the shot put. In the weight throw, Aldrich broke the program record with a distance of 56' 8.5" with the currently seventh-best mark in the GLIAC and No. 18 in the country. For the shot put, her mark of 44' 11.75" is ranked fourth in the league and 15th in the nation. 

Saginaw Valley competes next on Friday, January 10 in the SVSU Classic.
