Ryan Conklin - Football

SVSU Football junior quarterback Ryan Conklin has been named the Cardinal Athlete of the week, following his stellar performance in the Cardinals' 21-20 victory over Truman State at Wickes Stadium.

Conklin led the Cards to their 3-0 start to season with 26 completions through the air for 229 yards and the game-winning touchdown to Gailliard. He added a team-high 41 yards rushing with two scores. Conklin was named the Meijer "Player of the Game."

SVSU returns to action on Saturday (Sep. 22) for the GLIAC home opener against Wayne State University. This contest will also be the Hall of Fame game and action begins at 1 p.m. in Wickes Stadium.
