Goforth Earns GLIAC Runner of the Week Accolades

GLIAC —  Saginaw Valley State University senior men's cross country student-athlete Tom Goforth has been named the GLIAC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Calvin Knights Invitational this past Saturday. 

Goforth claimed the individual title at the 2018 Calvin Knight Invitational, crossing the line in a final time of 24:52.4 in the 8K race. Goforth, the 2016 all-american for Saginaw Valley, was just two seconds off his personal best time for an 8K cross country race and led the team to a second place finish in the event.

The Cardinals are back in action Friday (Sep. 14) when they travel to compete at the MSU Spartan Invitational in East Lansing, Michigan.
