UNIVERSITY CENTER — The SVSU Cross Country team headed across state to the Calvin Knight Invitational on Saturday Sept. 8. The men's team finished second overall while the women finished third.
Men: Finish (2nd) Score (130) Avg. Time (25:59.5)
- In the men's race, Tom Goforth led the SVSU team finishing with a time of 24:53.4, earning himself the top slot in the 8k.
- Ryan Talbott finished next with a time of 25:41.9, recording a 12th place finish.
- Junior Austen Mandernach recorded a time of 25:58.1 finishing 16th overall.
- Timmy Kimball rounded out the Cardinals top 30 with a 27th place finish running a 26.19.3.

Women: Finish (3rd) Score (130) Avg. Time (19.03.8)
- Senior Allison Dorr led the Cardinals, finishing fourth overall with a time of 18.22.0, 23.2 seconds behind the first place runner.
- Morgan Fuerst was the next closest, posting a 20th finish with a time of 19.00.5
- Jenna Keiser finished 28th with a time of 19:08.7
- Maggie Pawelczyk finished 35th with a time of 19:20.2 for the Cardinals
