LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Saginaw Valley State University senior Emily Short competed as an individual at the NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships on Saturday afternoon (12/6).  The championship was hosted as part of the 2014 Division II National Championships Fall Festival at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

Short posted a time of 22:43.7 which was good for 85th place in the 5780 meter event.  The Tawas, Michigan native concluded the season with three victories and four top-20 finishes during her senior campaign.  She was named to 2014 All-GLIAC Second Team for her performance at the GLIAC Championships this year as well.

Short competed in her fourth-consecutive NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championship.  She finished her SVSU cross country career as a two-time All-American (2012 and 2013).
