EAST LANSING, Mich - The Saginaw Valley State University women's cross country team competed at the Spartan Invitational today (9/12) in East Lansing, Mich.
Leading the Cardinals once again was senior Emily Short who finished the race in 19th with a time of 22:09. Behind her was Christina Micale in 44th with a time of 22:57 as well as Tori Peet with a time of 23:16 to take 62nd place. Chantelle Fondren and Taylor Stepanski also finished well in the Spartan Invite, taking 73rd (23:30) and 78th (23:32), respectively.
Alicia Tomlin continued her freshman campaign with a solid run, coming in at 24:18 in 110th place. Freshman Allison Dorr also competed well, finishing at 24:51 for a 141st place finish. Placing later in the race were Darby Meinecke at 25:05 for a 157th place finish and Kelly Batzloff at 25:10 for a 159th place finish.
The Cardinals will return to action October 4th to compete in the Northwood Invitational in Midland, Mich.
