EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State
University women’s cross country team competed Friday (Sept.
18) at the Michigan State University Invitational.
The Cardinals ran extremely well, considering many of them had yet
to compete at the collegiate level. Leading the way for Saginaw
Valley was sophomore Jean Hollerbach
(Grosse Point, Mich. / Grosse Point HS) who finished with a final
time of 24:14, placing her 74th overall. Following her was senior
Amanda Roache
(Mt. Morris, Mich. / Mt. Morris HS) who finished in 92nd place,
sophomore Ashley
Meyer (Shepherd, Mich. / Shepherd HS) who placed 104th,
freshman Stephanie McMall
(Bay City, Mich. / Bay City Western HS) who crossed the line in
118th, and junior Kayla Duke (Linden, Mich.
/ Linden HS) who finished 120th overall.
The Lady Cardinals host the Cardinal Invitational next Friday
(Sept. 25) starting at 12:00pm.
