UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University volleyball team lost a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match against visiting Ferris State University on Saturday when the Cardinals couldn't get on track in Hamilton Gymnasium. The Bulldogs swept with set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 26-24.

Ferris State is now 8-7 overall and 6-1 in the GLIAC, while the Cardinals are 8-7 on the season and 4-3 in the conference.

How it Happened:

  • Ferris State attacked at a .346 clip while holding SVSU to minus-.033 to capture the first set by 11 points. The Bulldogs used a 21-10 run to close the opening stanza after Patricia Pratt's kill tied it 4-4 for SVSU.
  • The Bulldogs used another strong attack in the second set when they outhit the Cardinals .485 to .081.
  • Saginaw Valley didn't go down quietly in the third set, using a .317 attack percentage to nearly forcing a fourth before eventually falling by two.
