LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Saginaw Valley State University senior outside hitter Sarah Tabit has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America Honorable Mention Team, earning her another honor for her stellar 2019 season.

Tabit was earlier named an AVCA All-Midwest Region First Team honoree and was named to the All-GLIAC First Team for the second straight season.

Sarah finishes the season leading the GLIAC with 470 kills and 4.27 kills per set, which includes postseason play. She ranks fifth all-time at Saginaw Valley with 1,175 kills and third with 3,123 career attacks. Tabit's career-high 470 kills this year moved her to fifth on the single season kills list as well. She finished her four-year career playing in 102 matches and 343 sets, racking-up those 1,175 kills with 569 digs, 92 total blocks and 54 service aces.

SVSU compiled an overall record of 20-9 in the 2019 season and competed in the program's sixth-even NCAA postseason tournament.

Tabit is the third All-American in the program's history and the first since Kait Harris in 2009. Sarah Redoute (2008) is the other and both were AVCA All-America Honorable Mention selections like Tabit.
