Volleyball Battles in five-set defeat to #10 Ferris State
UNIVERSITY CENTER — The Cardinal Volleyball team hosted the #10 Ferris State Bulldogs in a GLIAC North Division contest Friday (Oct. 26) evening. After battling and forcing a fifth set, Saginaw Valley came up just short by a score of 3-2 at the Hamilton Gymnasium.

Ferris State came out strong and claimed the opening set by a score of 25-14, hitting for a stellar .395 percentage while the Cards hit .198.

Saginaw Valley flipped the script in the second, however, posting a .286 percentage while knotting the match at 1-1 with a 25-19 decision.

The back-and-forth effort continued in the next two frames, with the Bulldogs posting a 25-17 win in set number three before Saginaw Valley came through clutch in what was an exciting and close fourth set, 25-23. That sent the contest on to a fifth and deciding set.
