MIAMI, Ohio - The SVSU women's track & field team competed at the Miami University Invitational on Saturday (Apr. 4) in a contest that was rescheduled after the Bellarmine Invitational was cancelled due to flooding in Louisville, Kentucky.

Taylor Stepanski and Chantelle Fondren finished first and second in the 1,500 meter run, posting times of 4:32.91 and 4:36.33, respectively.  Stepanski's time was an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time.

Tori Peet placed fifth in the 5,000 meter run, crossing the line with at time of 18:05.50.

The women's 4 x 400 meter relay team, consisting of Paige Stepanski, Devyn Powell, Kimberly Balls and Lina Davis, finished in second place with a time of 3:59.73.

Cady Sandel finished 3rd in the javelin throw with a distance of 36.36 meters.

Devyn Powell placed fourth in the 400 meter run, finishing with a time of 59.65 seconds.

The ladies are back in action on Saturday (Apr. 11) at the Northwood Invitational.
