UNIVERSITY CENTER - The Saginaw Valley State University women's track & field team hosted the SVSU Classic on Friday (Jan. 16) night in the SVSU Fieldhouse. The Lady Cardinals posted some top finishes in the event.
Senior Jessica Reeves finished in first place in the 3,000 meter run, crossing the line with a time of 10:42.78.
Junior Tierra Williams added a first place showing in the 60 meter hurdles, finishing with a mark of 9.35 seconds.
Junior Anna Fochesato claimed the high jump, clearing the bar with a height of 1.68 meters. She added a first place showing in the triple jump as well, posting a mark of 11.31 meters.
In the mile run, sophomore Christina Micale had a time of 5:17.86, finishing in third place.
Saginaw Valley returns to the oval Friday (Jan. 23), back at the SVSU Fieldhouse for the Doug Hansen Open. Field events are set to begin at 2:30 pm in the event.
