EUGENE, Ore. - SVSU women's track & field student-athlete Christina Micale traveled to Eugene, Oregon to compete in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the 2014 USATF Junior Outdoor Championships on Sunday, July 6th. The championships were held at historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
Micale, who just finished her freshman campaign for the Cardinals, crossed the finish line with a time of 11:24.92 in the event to finish in 7th place out of 15 competitors.
The Junior Championships give fans a glimpse of some of the nation's best athletes under the age of 20. This group includes high school standouts and the nation's most promising freshman.
