BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's track and field program was represented by Emily Short this past weekend (June 15-17) at the 2012 USA Track & Field Junior Outdoor Championships.
Short, a freshman from Tawas, Mich., competed in and finished seventh in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:06.59. Short experienced a breakout freshman season for the Cardinals with 11 top-5 finishes in 2012. She served as an alternate on the distance medley relay team that garnered All-American honors with an eighth place finish at the 2012 NCAA Indoor Championships. She was also a member of the DMR team that set the then school record with a time of 11:48.75 at the GVSU Big Meet.
With the conclusion of the meet the 2012 track and field season in now complete for the Cardinals.
