WALNUT, Calif. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's and women's track and field teams were able to send a few qualified athletes to compete in the Mt. San Antonio College hosted Mt. SAC Relays.

The women were led by junior Alycia Wright (Macomb, Mich./Lutheran North HS) who earned a 61st place finish, in a very competitive field of 95 runners, in the 800-meter run crossing the line with a NCAA Division II provisionally qualifying time of 2:13.52.  Junior Ashley Meyer (Shepherd, Mich./Shepherd HS) placed 72nd overall in the 1,500-meter run coming in with a final time of 4:36.10, while junior Megan Pittoors (Macomb, Mich./Dakota HS) placed 48th overall in the 10,000-meter run clocking in at 37:36.43.

The Cardinals will be back in action again next weekend when they compete in the Stan Lyons Invitational.
