Cardinals Fall in Match at Eastern Michigan

ANN ARBOR -- The SVSU Women's Tennis team rounded-out the 2017-18 season with a match on the road against the Eastern Michigan University Eagles. The Cardinals fell in the match by a 7-0 score at the U of M Varsity Tennis Center in Ann Arbor. 

Doubles

The Eagles claimed all three of the doubles contests to take the single point that was up for grabs in doubles action. The closest of the three was Danielle Slonac and Joanne Gao, who deopped a 6-2 match. Shea Donahue and Maddie Miller fell 6-1 at the No. 1 spot while Nikita Hill and Taylor McLaughlin fell 6-0 at No. 3. 

Singles

Eastern Michigan was tough in singles action as well, sweeping through that and finishing for the 7-0 victory. McLaughlin had a tight match at No. 4, as she fell 6-2, 7-6. Slonac fell 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5 singles while Miller lost by that same score at No. 2. Gao fell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3, Donahue was set back 6-3, 6-1 at the top spot and Hill fell 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6 slot.

Up Next...

The match against the Eagles caps-off the 2017-18 season for Saginaw Valley. Both Donahue and Slonac will graduate after recording great careers in a Cardinal uniform.
