During the 2020-21 spring season, Channell helped coach Alyssa Watts to Honorable Mention All-GLIAC and helped lead SVSU to the GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals.

In 2019, Saginaw Valley posted a 12-7 overall record, sealing a trip to the GLIAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed. The Cardinals advanced to the title match of the tournament.
