Weather Delay Postpones Women's Soccer Play at Grand Valley State

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's soccer team experienced multiple weather delays in the match against #4 Grand Valley State University on Friday night.

The first weather issue came in pregame when a lightning strike was detected within the area delaying play for 30-minutes and no further lightning strikes. After the first delay, the Cardinals would get an opportunity to warm-up but another lightning strike would further delay play. The weather finally broke long enough for the game to enter the first 15 minutes of play but the match would ultimately be postponed to a later date. No make-up date is set at this time.
