GLIAC — Saginaw Valley State junior midfielder, Valentina Giambanco, earned GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for her impeccable showout in the 5-0 win against Purdue Northwest on Friday and the 4-2 victory versus Parkside on Sunday.
Giambanco earned her first ever hat trick with three goals in the team's 5-0 win over the Pride on Friday before dishing-out a solo goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-2 win against the Parkside Rangers.
The Cardinals will face off againt GLIAC member and cross town rival, Northwood University, on Friday beginning at 2 p.m. at the Dean Soccer Field in Midland, Mich. SVSU defeated NU earlier this month, 2-0.
