Saginaw Valley falls in conference opener versus #7 Grand Valley, 3-0.

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State fell on the road against a strong #7 Grand Valley State on Friday night, 3-0. The Cardinals now drop to 4-3 and 0-1 in the GLIAC, while the Lakers improve to 5-2, 1-0 in conference play. 

Grand Valley was aggressive with their shots, tallying 25 as a team and posting 10 shots on goal. Saginaw struggled offensively, only posting five shots and two on goal. The Lakers took charge by knocking out 11 shots in the first half, with an assisted goal by Grand Valley's Gianna Parlove at the 12' mark. SVSU's Bauer stayed strong, with five saves. During the second half, GVSU became more assertive, posting 14 shots while Saginaw contributed three. Goals came from the Lakers at the 54' and 57' mark of play. GVSU took the contest, 3-0.
