BAY CITY, Mich. – SVSU Women's Soccer sophomore midfielder Valentina Giambanco has been selected as the GLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week following a three goal weekend including one double-overtime victory goal in the 107th minute against Northern Michigan on Friday evening (Sept. 15). Also, Giambanco added the first goal during the double-overtime loss against Michigan Tech Sunday afternoon (Sept. 17).
Giambanco now has four goals and three assists on the year, contributing 11 points for the Cardinals 2017 campaign. SVSU will be back in action against conference member Grand Valley State to open up GLIAC play this weekend on the road. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
