From Head Coach Michael O'Neill

"Today was a great team effort. After Thursday's loss we needed a good team response and I'm extremely proud of the girls for the fight and courage they showed today. The game itself was scrappy but that's usually the case on turf. We were able to take control of the game midway through the first half and even though we went into half time scoreless we knew we had a goal in us. Valentina got the goal with a great near post finish. The last 20 minutes were ugly but we just had to manage the game and get over the line which we did. We will now rest up and look forward to a good week of practices in preparation for our home opener on Friday."
