BIG RAPIDS, Mich. - The Lady Cardinals hit the road on Friday (Oct. 21 ) for a GLIAC women's soccer match against Ferris State University. Despite posting 22 shots, with 10 of them on goal, Saginaw Valley fell by a 1-0 count in Big Rapids.

The first 45 minutes of play had no scoring, with the Cards getting off 12 shots compared to the Bulldogs' five.

That 0-0 count wouldn't last long into the second frame, as Ferris State's Tia VanSuilichem scored at the 46:38 marker of the contest to give the home team the 1-0 edge.

The single goal lead would hold true throughout the match for the Bulldogs, as none of the Cardinals' 10 second half shots found the back of the net.
