Cardinals Fall To Oilers, 2-1

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's soccer team suffered its first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) loss today (Sept. 19) falling to the University of Findlay, 2-1.

The Cardinals were only able to get one shot on goal in the first half of the contest as they entered halftime with a 0-0 tie.  The Oilers got on the board first in the second half, but Saginaw Valley answered back just seven minutes later to make the game 1-1.  Sophomore Tiffany Bell (Troy, Mich. / Troy Athens HS) netted her second goal of the season off a pass from freshman Kellsey Posten (New Boston, Mich. / New Boston Huron HS).  The one goal was not enough as Findlay scored at the 69:12 mark to end the contest at 2-1.
