BAY CITY, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University senior mid-fielder Jaclyn Barrett (Williamston, Mich.) has been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Soccer "Athlete of the Week" it was announced by the league office.
Barrett helped the team break the school record for wins (Oct. 30) when they defeated Ferris State University 3-0 in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) match-up for the team's 13th victory. The Cardinals opened the scoring in the second half when Barrett netted her first of three goals on the day. Saginaw Valley went up 2-0 on the Bulldogs in the 64th minute of the game when Barrett shot the ball through and just minutes later Barrett would cap-off the afternoon's scoring with her third straight goal and her second hat trick on the season.
