BAY CITY, Mich. – Saginaw Valley State
University women’s soccer senior Kim Oberski has been awarded
the Fall 2008 Commissioners Award by the Great Lakes
Intercollegiate Athletics Conference for her performance on the
field and in the classroom this year.
Oberski scored a team-leading 12 goals, had five assists (tied for
second) and team-leading 29 points in the 18 games she played, and
started, in. She put 32-of-50 shots on goal (.640 percent), and
helped advance the Cardinals to the 2008 GLIAC championship match.
She was named to the 2008 Second Team All-GLIAC.
In her career, Oberski has netted 33 goals, and 20 assists.
She is a pre-med major with a 4.0 grade point average, and has
been selected to the All-GLIAC Academic Team three times.
