Women’s Golf Takes Fourth at Bulldog Fall Invite

BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University women's golf program played two rounds of golf in the Bulldog Fall Invite on Monday. The Cardinals took fourth out of seven teams with a total score of 646 with rounds of 326 and 320.

SVSU was led by Brook Herbstreit with rounds of 79 (+7) and 77 (+5) for a total of 156 (+12) to take eighth place out of 45 golfers. Megan Thiravong took 10th place with rounds of 78 (+6) and 79 (+7) for a total of 157. Hannah Hauser shot 166 (+22) and placed 26th with rounds of 85 (+13) and 81 (+9). Christina Nagy was one stroke behind with rounds of 84 (+12) and 83 (+11) for a total of 167 (+23). Aileen Cosentino rounded out the team with a total of 174 (+32) after rounds of 85 (+13) and 91 (+19).

Up Next: Saginaw Valley women's golf wraps up their Fall competition with two days at the Davenport Fall Invitational. The Cardinals will compete at Stonehedge North in Gull Lake, Michigan on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13.
