She is also tied for second in par five scoring where she carded both birdies on the day. Emily O'Brien sits T47 after day one with a score of 83 where she struggled through her second nine but did find a birdie on the 370-yard 17th hole. Brook Herbstreit sits third for SVSU with an 11-over-par 83 through her first 18 holes of play. Herbstreit is continually battling an injury but was still able to card to under-par holes on 13 and seven. Megan Thiravong shot 43-41 for a score of 84 after her first day. Thiravong started the round one under through two holes. Megan Kozlowski rounded out the lineup for the Cardinals with an 86. Kozlowski looks to bounce back on day two after an impressive performance at the GLIAC Championships just weeks ago.
