GLIAC -- SVSU Senior Women's Golf student-athlete Emily Barker has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week following her medalist performance over the weekend at the Mike Lalaeff Memorial Invite. 

Barker led the SVSU Women's Golf team to their second team title of the season after securing her first collegiate victory at the 2019 Mike Laleaff Memorial Invitational. Barker bounced back from an opening round of 83 in tough conditions to card an even-par 72 on day two, securing a two stroke victory in the event. SVSU won the team championship by 12 strokes over Davenport University with scores of 328-310. 

The Women's team is back in action this upcoming weekend, rounding-out the fall season at the Davenport Panther Invitational in Battle Creek.
