Women's Golf Claims Lady Bulldog Fall Invitational Title

BIG RAPIDS -- The SVSU Women's Golf team claimed the title at the 2019 Ferris State Lady Bulldog Fall Invitational after posting an opening round score of 311, defeating the host Bulldogs by two strokes for the team victory. 

Sabrina Coffman won the individual medalist honors after a Saturday score of 71 (-1), claiming a one stroke victory over Ferris State's Destiny Lawson. It marks her first collegiate victory and her third top-10 finish this season in as many tournaments. 

Emily Barker finished in fourth place with her score of 75 on Saturday while Keegan Miller was tied for 16th with an 82. Alexa Marston and Emily O'Brien finished tied for 19th place with their score of 83. Olivia Pumford had a score of 88 and tied for 39th overall competing as an individual.

SVSU continues on the road and plays at the William Beall Fall Classic on Monday (Oct. 7) and Tuesday. That event is being played at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.
