SVSU Women 9th after 18 holes of play in Ohio

BLACKLICK, Ohio -- The Cardinal Women's Golf team sits in 9th place after 18 holes of play at the ODU NC4K Classic, hosted at the Jefferson Golf and Country Club in Blacklick, Ohio.

Saginaw Valley shot an opening round 326, sitting three strokes behind Wayne State University. Findlay leads the tournament with a score of 301, which is five strokes ahead of Indianapolis. 

Alexa Marston led the way for the Cards on Monday, shooting a score of 78. She is tied for 20th place overall.

Emily Barker is tied for 25th overall after her first round score of 79. Annika Neumann is tied for 50th with her 83 while Jenna Pepper rounded-out the team's scoring with an 86. 

Keegan Miller competed as well and shot an 87 on Monday. 

Up Next...

The teams will finish play on Tuesday, playing round two at the Jefferson Golf and Country Club. The teams will begin with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
