SVSU sits 9th after opening round at William Beall Fall Classic

FINDLAY, Ohio — The Cardinal Women's Golf team sits in 9th place after the first day of the William Beall Fall Classic, hosted by the Findlay Oilers at the Findlay Country Club. 

SVSU shot a round of 319, being led by Alexa Marston's round of 78. She sits in a tie for 24th place overall after 18 holes of play. 

Katie Boyd had a 79 and sits in a tie for 32nd overall. Annika Neumann is tied for 39th with her first round score of 80 while Emily Barker had an 82 and is tied for 51st overall to cap-off the team's scoring. 

Keegan Miller competed in her first collegiate event as well, posting an 88 for SVSU on Sunday. 

The Cardinals return to the course on Monday for the final round, which will feature a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
