GLIAC -- Saginaw Valley State University junior Women's Golf student-athlete Alexa Marston has been named the GLIAC Women's Golfer of the Week following her performance this past weekend at the 2018 CT Classic in Ohio.
Marston led the Cardinals to a runner-up finish at the 2018 CT Classic, hosted by Ohio Dominican at the Cumberland Trail Golf Course in Pataskala, Ohio. Marston posted rounds of 74-75, carding a career-low score of 149 for the weekend to finish in third place overall. Saginaw Valley put together rounds of 310-314 in the event, marking a new 36-hole record for the third year program.
SVSU is back in action this upcoming weekend, traveling to play at the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite at The Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Michigan.
