PATASKALA, Ohio -- The SVSU Women's Golf team is tied for second after the opening round of the CT Classic, hosted by Ohio Dominican in Pataskala, Ohio at the Cumberland Trail Golf Course. The Cardinals were led by a one-under round from Emily Barker, who registered a 71 and the lowest round in program history.

Barker led a charge for SVSU on day one, posting a team score of 310 to trail leader Wayne State by just a single stroke along with Ohio Dominican.

Alexa Marston was next-lowest for SV, registering a two-over 74 after 18 holes of play. She sits in a tie for 5th place overall.

Katie Boyd (82) and Annika Neumann (83) rounded-out the team's scoring, as they are tied for 30th and 34th, respectively. 

Kaitlyn Morrissey posted an 85 as the final player on the day for Saginaw Valley.
