CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars were announced today with a total of 1,011 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. Saginaw Valley State University had three student-athletes attain this honor, as Emily Barker, Sabrina Coffman and Alexa Marston all made it two straight years on the list.

Coffman, a Second Team All-GLIAC honoree, led the way with a 77.35 stroke average for the 2017-18 season. She played in 23 rounds and was a qualifier for the 2018 Division II East Regionals in Big Rapids, Michigan. Sabrina had three top-five finishes and seven times landed inside the top-10 and had nine of the lowest 11 scores for the season. She was the runner-up twice this past season, finishing second at the Battle in Belmont and the ODU Snowflake Open.

Marston competed in 18 rounds for the Cardinals, finishing with an average of 81.11 on the season. That ranked her second on the team. She was a top-10 finisher once at the ODU Snowflake Open, where SV claimed the team title.

Barker played in 18 rounds for SVSU, collecting a stroke average of 83.50. She collected a top-15 finish in the SVSU Spring Invitational, where she was 14th overall after a second round and season-low score of 77.
