Women's Golf Finishes 7th at NC4K Classic

BLACKLICK, Ohio -- The Cardinal Women's Golf team finished competition on Tuesday (Apr. 10) at the 2018 NC4K Classic, hosted by Ohio Dominican University. 

Saginaw Valley followed-up an opening round 329 with a 325 (654), improving two spots up to a 7th place finish after being tied for 9th place after 18 holes of play. The Cardinals were 12 strokes behind 6th place Northwood while Grand Valley State won the event with a final score of 599. 

Alexa Marston carded the low round of the day for SV, putting together a score of 78. She had rounds of 88-78, finishing tied for 39th place at 166 (+22).

Emily Barker posted an 80, coupling that with her first round mark of 84 to finish in 33rd (164, +20).

Sabrina Coffman followed-up her opening day 73 with an 81, ending with a top-10 finished tied for 10th after her 154 (+10).

Katie Boyd was Tuesday's final scorer for the Cards, registering an 86. She tied for 72nd with rounds of 94-86.

Shelbe Cahill tied for 52nd overall, scoring rounds of 84-87 to finish at 171. 

Annika Neumann golf as an individual this week, putting together rounds of 85-83 to finish in 46th place with her total score of 168 (+24).

SVSU competes this weekend Saturday-Sunday in the Ashland University Invitational. The tournament is set to be held at the Ashland Country Club in Ashland, Ohio.
