FINDLAY -- The SVSU Women's Golf team got a program record score of 72 from Sabrina Coffman today, as the Cards sit in 8th place overall at the Findlay Beall Fall Classic. The tournament is being played at the Findlay Country Club.
The Cardinals shot a team score of 321 and are six strokes behind Findlay and Ashland, which are tied for 6th place. The University of Indianapolis leads after round one, shooting an opening round of 292.
Coffman's 72 has her in third place overall, just two strokes behind the leaders. She turned at 38 after starting on hole 10 and was two-under on the front nine to account for the even-par start.
Alexa Marston, Annika Neumann and Lucy Cornwall all shot an opening round score of 83 to round-out the team's scoring on the day. Shelbe Cahill opened play with an 85.
