CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars were announced with a total of 952 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50. Saginaw Valley had three student-athletes earn the honor, as Emily Barker, Alexa Marston and Sabrina Coffman were all named to the team.
Barker led SVSU in the team's inaugural season with an 83.70 stroke average, compiling a 3.97 cumulative GPA in the classroom as well. Marston was third on the squad with an average of 83.80 and posted a 3.864 GPA. Coffman posted an 84.10 average on the course and maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA.
