BLACKLICK, Ohio - Following an opening round score of 336 on Sunday, the SVSU women's golf team shot the same score on Monday, finishing the two-day event with a total score of 672. The event was hosted at the Jefferson Golf & Country Club.

The score put the team in a 12th place finish, five strokes behind tournament host Ohio Dominican University. The University of Indianapolis claimed the title, posting a two-day total score of 588.

Shelbe Cahill had the low round for SV on Monday, shooting a 79 (+7). She finished tied for 51st overall with her scores of 91-79, 170. She was tied for 51st with teammate Katie Boyd, who carded an 80 (+8) in second round action, and Alexa Marston, who had rounds of 81-89 on the weekend.

Emily Barker was the top overall finisher for Saginaw Valley, following up her 79 with an 88 in round two to score 167 and tie for 44th overall. 

Sabrina Coffman finished her tournament tied for 78th after carding scores of 86-93 for her 179 total.

The ladies have their final tune-up before the 2017 GLIAC Championships in the Walsh Invitational. The event is slated to be played Monday and Tuesday in North Canton, Ohio.
