Cardinals Finish Ninth at Perry Park Spring Fling

PERRY PARK, Ky. - The SVSU women's golf team improved upon Saturday's new 18-hole record of 325, posting twin scores of 324 in the second and third rounds on Sunday to finish ninth overall in the Perry Park Spring Fling in Kentucky. 

The Cardinals finished with a three-round total of 973 to finish in the No. 9 spot. The University of Findlay won the tournament with a score of 902. 

Alexa Marston, who was 38th after the opening day, shot rounds of 82-78 to finish tied for 30th overall with her total score of 240. Shelbe Cahill ended up tied for 37th overall, following up her first round of 84 with scores of 78-81 for her total of 243.

Sabrina Coffman and Emily Barker each finished in a tie for 39th place with a total score of 245. Coffman fired rounds of 83-77-85 while Barker had scores of 78-87-80. Coffman's 77 matched the program's record, which she shared with Barker. 

Jenna Pepper also competed for SVSU, finishing tied for 78th with her scores of 84-93-91 (268).
