Women's Golf 14th After Opening Round of Beall Fall Classic

FINDLAY, Ohio - The SVSU women's golf team traveled to play at the Beall Fall Classic, hosted by the University of Findlay at the Findlay Country Club. The Lady Cardinals sit in 14th place overall after the opening 18 holes of play with a first round score of 346.

That mark has them a single stroke behind California (Pa.) while Missouri-St. Louis leads after a first round 309.

Sabrina Coffman was the low shooter for the Cards, as she carded an 82 (+10) on the par 72, 6,093 yard layout to sit in a tie for 25th.

Emily Barker is tied for 34th, as she finished one stroke behind with an 11-over 83. 

Alexa Marston and Shelbe Cahill rounded-out the scoring for Saginaw Valley, finishing with rounds of 86 and 95, respectively.

The team will be back in action on Monday in the second and final round of the event.
