Coffman's 77 leads SVSU on day two at Laker Fall Invite

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The SVSU women's golf team finished in 14th place in the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite, held at The Meadows Golf Course and hosted by GVSU. Following an opening round score of 346, the Lady Cardinals shaved-off 16 strokes and shot a 330 to finish four strokes behind 12th place finishers Wayne State and Ohio Dominican. 

Grand Valley State (598) won the event, finishing six shots clear of Findlay (604). 

Sabrina Coffman posted the low round of 77 on Sunday for the Lady Cardinals. She carded the first round in the 70's in the early history of the program. She finished in a tie for 67th place overall in the tournament. 

Emily Barker finished in a tie for 46th for SVSU, as she followed up her first round 85 with an 82 for a 167 total. 

Alexa Marston shot rounds of 85-86 (171, 63rd) and Katie Boyd finished tied for 64th after rounds of 87-85. 

Saginaw Valley continues play next Monday (Oct. 3), as the team plays at the Northwood Invitational. The tournament is set to be hosted at the Midland Country Club.
