ALLENDALE, Mich. - The SVSU women's golf team traveled to Allendale, Michigan to play in the GVSU-hosted Gilda Club Laker Fall Invite, hosted  at the Meadows Golf Course. The ladies are in 14th after the opening 18 holes of play on the par-72, 6,017 yard layout after a first round score of 346.

SV sits seven strokes behind 13th place Tiffin while Grand Valley State leads the event after a first round score of 300.

Alexa Marston and Emilly Barker led the way for SV, both carding an opening round of 85 to sit in a tie for 50th overall. Katie Boyd was next, shooting an 87 (t-64) in day one. Haley Larsen rounded-out the scoring for the Cards, posting a round of 89 (t-75).

The ladies are back in action at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday with another shotgun start.
