Zarycki takes third straight GLIAC award

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - The Saginaw Valley State University women's basketball team picked up a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over rival Northwood University on Thursday evening at James E. O'Neill Jr Arena. 

Kaitlyn Zarycki posted 28 points in the 80-72 victory over the Timberwolves. The junior also grabbed seven rebounds and posted four assists. 

Zarycki's performance earned her the GLIAC South Division Player of the Week for the third straight week. The Niles, Mich., native is currently leading the conference with 22.6 points per game and is also averaging 5.4 rebounds per game and 3.0 assists per game for SVSU. 

The Cardinals will travel to Wayne State University for a GLIAC matchup at 1 pm on Saturday in Detroit.
